Visa Application Fees

To apply for a visa, you will have to pay:

Visa fee - collected on behalf of the Consular Authority for the application processing;
Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.

Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, Debit card (UnionPay only), Credit card (UnionPay only), Mobile pay

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees does not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

Exemption of visa fees:
The following categories do not have to pay the visa fees:

Children under 6 who apply for a Schengen, Caribbean or airport transit visa;
Children under 12 with a passport from Cape Verde who apply for a Schengen or Airport Transit visa
Applicants who qualify** under the facilitation visa category:
- Chavez Vilchez= Parent of a Dutch national who is younger than 18
- EU directive= Family member of a national of an EU/EEA member state or Switzerland.
School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake stays for the purpose of study or educational training.
Researchers travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research or participating in a scientific seminar or conference*.
Representatives of non-profit organizations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.
Applicants who apply for a visa after appeal visa.

Please note that satisfactory proof must be submitted to establish that one of the above exemptions applies. In addition, whether a visa application is eligible for the visa fee exemption will be subject to final confirmation by the Dutch missions.

The visa fee is mandatory for all visa applications unless you are within the exemption categories.

The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in CNY. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Consular Authority and is updated periodically, therefore the amount you are requested to pay may differ from those quoted above.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is CNY 315.00. This amount has been decided in agreement with the Consular Authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.). The service fee amount might be adjusted according to the visa policy and exchange rate. Please refer to the amount on the day the application is accepted.
