Visa Application Fees

To apply for a visa, you will have to pay:

Visa fee - collected on behalf of the Consular Authority for the application processing;
Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.
Express courier return fee - to limit the number of individuals visiting the Visa Application Centre in person, all applicants are asked to purchase express courier return service in order to receive their passport back from the Visa Application Centre;

Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, Debit card (UnionPay only), Credit card (UnionPay only), Mobile pay (Alipay and WeChat Pay only / For Hangzhou center only Alipay is available; For Wuhan center only Cash and Mobile pay are available)

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees does not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

*The visa fee, only collectable in CNY, may change as a result of currency fluctuation.

Exemption of visa fees:
The following categories do not have to pay the visa fees:

Children under six years of age;
Nationals from Armenia and Azerbaijan under 12 years old;
Pupils, students, graduates and accompanying teachers who are travelling for educational purposes;
Scientific researchers if invited by scientific institutions;
The spouse, registered partner and children below 21 years of age as well as other dependent direct family members (children or parents from applicant or partner) of non-Dutch EU/EER Nationals travelling to or residing in another member state than that of which he/she is a national;
Representatives of non-profit organizations aged 25 or less, participating in seminars, conferences, sports, or cultural or educational events;
work-related visa for applicants employed by Dutch based International Organizations (OPCW/Intern. Tribunal, Unesco/ IHE/ ITC/ Intern. Strafhof etc.) and their family members who form permanently part of the household.

Please note that satisfactory proof must be submitted to establish that one of the above exemptions applies.

The visa fee is mandatory for all visa applications unless you are within the exemption categories.

The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in CNY. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Consular Authority and is updated periodically, therefore the amount you are requested to pay may differ from those quoted above.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is CNY 305.00. This amount has been decided in agreement with the Consular Authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.). The service fee amount might be adjusted according to the visa policy and exchange rate. Please refer to the amount on the day the application is accepted.
